Brazilian Butt Lift
Houston and Lake Jackson
Want to improve the shape and size of your backside? Whether it’s because of age, pregnancy or genetics, your buttocks might not have the appearance you desire. Get the results you dream of with a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure. This has become one of the most popular procedures Houston and Lake Jackson plastic surgeon Dr. Yarish performs. It is frequently done as an “add on” to liposuction or other procedures, reducing the cost of separate procedures.
In this procedure, Dr. Yarish takes unwanted fat from other parts of your body and transfers it into the buttocks, creating a shapely and bountiful posterior. The size and shape are determined by the patients desire with Dr. Yarish’s input.
Benefits of a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)
Why do Houston and Lake Jackson patients opt for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)? There are plenty of ways this procedure can benefit you:
- Your clothing will fit better around your new curves.
- You’ll trim down the fat on your thighs, hips or belly.
- You’ll look younger and fitter than ever before.
- You’ll improve the balance in your proportions, especially if you are well-endowed in the upper body.
Who Is an Ideal Candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift?
Brazilian Butt Lifts are a great choice for healthy women who want to increase the size of their buttocks without implants, which have frequent and distorting complications. If you are healthy and have sufficient donor site (I.E. excess or unwanted fat) you are most likely a good candidate.
How Do Brazilian Butt Lifts Work?
Also known as gluteal augmentation, a Brazilian Butt Lift is performed using only your own fat, so you don’t need other implants. Because of this, the results are more natural, last longer, there are fewer chances for complications, and as a bonus, you’ll also look slimmer in areas where fat was removed.
To gather the fat needed for the procedure, Dr. Yarish collects tissue from the thighs, lower back, hips or abdomen using liposuction. After processing purification, he injects this fat into the buttocks. During the procedure, you’ll be under a general anesthetic so that you won’t feel any pain or discomfort. The entire process should take between two and four hours, depending on the amount of fat to be transferred.

Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery
The most tedious part of a Brazilian Butt Lift recovery is that you won’t be able to sit normally or for long periods of time for two to three weeks after the surgery. BBL sitting pillows allow short periods of sitting. This is so your fat has time to settle and isn’t forced out of place. Instead, you must lie on your side or stand, except when using the bathroom. We recommend you use a BBL sitting pillow to minimize your discomfort and allow short periods of sitting.
In most cases, Houston and Lake Jackson patients can go back to work after 7 – 10 days of rest. While you won’t be able to engage in heavy physical activity, walking around is a great way to stay active. After three weeks, you can get back to more intense activity.
FAQ About Brazilian Butt Lifts
Have some questions we didn’t answer above? Here are some of the inquiries we hear the most from our Houston and Lake Jackson patients.
How Is a Brazilian Butt Lift Different from a Traditional Butt Lift?
In a Brazilian Butt Lift, Dr. Yarish adds fat to the buttocks to improve its size and shape. In doing so, the procedure also improves loose or sagging skin. The traditional butt lift, on the other hand, removes skin from either the upper portion of the butt in order to create lifting, or from the lower part of the butt to actually cut out the skin that sags over the thigh. The traditional lift is generally reserved for the most severe buttock laxity, although at the same time, Dr. Yarish typically adds fat to the buttocks to recreate its prior fullness.
Are There Risks Involved with a Brazilian Butt Lift?
There are risks in any surgical procedure. But there is no substitute for experience-Dr. Yarish has been preforming this operation for many years and has had the opportunity to “fine tune” his technique to allow for more fat preservation and easier recovery.
Will I See Immediate Results?
You’ll immediately notice the change after the surgery. However, it’s important to keep in mind that this will not be your final result. Over the next few weeks, your body will eliminate some of the transplanted fat. There’s no way to predict exactly how much your body will remove, but your final results should be apparent in three to six months.
Are Brazilian Butt Lift Results Permanent?
Brazilian Butt Lift offer very long-lasting results. Although the initial results can be extreme, a period of 2-3 months is necessary for resolution of swelling and loss of some of the transplanted fat cells. Interestingly, since we take the fat from areas of the body that are very difficult to reduce with diet and exercise, the transplanted fat that goes in the buttocks still acts like it is from its original area. Therefore, if you lose weight, the fat transferred to the buttocks will be some of the last fat to leave the body. In other words, the new buttock fat is much more long-lasting and stable than the rest of your body fat.
